THERMAL AND MECHANICAL SEPARATION.

Mist  separators specially designed for evaporators and stains.

Clark Solutions has a full line of mist eliminators, specially designed for sugar evaporation conditions, which eliminate virtually all associated losses and maintenance costs.

MaxiMesh

The MaxiMesh® mist separator was first installed in a Brazilian plant  in 1995. It consists of a bed of metal filaments of small diameter ( 1.0 mm), which are spatially shaped fabrics arranged in layers to produce an extremely tortuous trajectory and changes in the trajectory of the gas flow. In these course changes, liquid droplets up to 3μm in diameter are captured with about 99.9%efficiency.

Although extremely effective, Maximesh eliminators offer a very low pressure drop, generally less than 25 mm AC.

Benefits :
  • Easy to install in any vessel.
  • Best cost-effective solution when equipment size is determined by other requirements.
  • Reduced evaporative sugar losses by more than 99%
  •  Reduction of impurities in condensate (10 ppm sugar);
  • Increased gas and liquid capacity, allowing smaller vessels to be designed.
  • High corrosion and inlay resistance
  • Reduced chemical use in boiler water treatment
  • Increased production capacity;
  • Reduced water consumption for low- and medium-pressure boilers;
  • Reduced consumption of chemicals in steam treatment
  • Protection of steam tubes, multi-jets, barometric capacitors against sugar drag and inlay.

MaxiChevron

Benefits :
  •  More than 95% reduction in evaporative losses
  •  Custom projects
  • Substantially reduced dimensions
  • Loss of load
  • Wide variety of operating conditions
  • Maintains high and low pressure efficiency
  • Reduction of sugar in condensate (30 ppm)
  • Reduced consumption of chemicals in steam treatment
  •  Increased evaporator or waste generation capacity
  •  Reduced water consumption for low- and medium-pressure boilers
  • Reduced chemical use in boiler water treatment
  • Protection of steam tubes, barometric capacitors against drag and inlay.
Clark Solutions installed the first Maxichevron in Brazilians plants evaporators in 1997.The Maxichevron is a set of blades arranged in parallel in geometries specially designed to make changes in the direction of steam flow.
This change in trajectory causes the impact of dragged liquid particles on the surface of the waves where they are collected and drained.

Maxichevron mist eliminators are designed to be installed internally in evaporators and stains or outdoors on the plant vapour line.
They can be washed, continuously or intermittently, to keep the equipment clean and with maximum continuous efficiency.

The MaxiChevron® Mist Eliminator is ideal for applications with high solids or viscous fluids that encroach on other equipment, reducing their effective surface area and leading to rapid wear and tear of the equipment. In addition, this mist eliminator tolerates high liquid loads, has high retention and has the lowest pressure drop among the same types of mist eliminators.
Maxichevron fog eliminators can operate in a wide range of speeds, which can range from 1 to 10 m/s (3 to 30 ft/s), with more than 99% of the efficiency for particles of 15 μm or more.

MaxiSpin TM

Benefits:
  • Robust construction for long life and reliability.
  • Easy installation on line without extra structure and cost benefit
  • Provides excellent plant steam distribution in equipment
  • Small size compared to chevron type for the same flow rate
  • Maintain minimum diameter particle collection efficiency throughout cooking (different evaporation rates)
  • Continuous washing
  • Long service life
  • Quick return on investment

MaxiSpin,patented device is our last generation of demister. It generates a forced rotation of the gas, producing a centrifugal force. This force is able to direct the droplet to the wall of the separator, which has strategic points of collection and a central point of drainage of the recovered liquid. The geometry of this system, the number of gas movements within the system, the angle between the blades, the distance of the blades and a number of factors are carefully designed to achieve the maximum separation efficiency in each process situation (flow rate, pressure, temperature, drag load, etc.).  Although it is complex manufacturing equipment, its installation is very simple. Simply remove a piece of pipe from the steam line where the Maxispin will be installed. This equipment uses much less space than external dividers and has almost the same efficiency.
